FPL DGW22 - Who to captain instead of Haaland for the double

We are 21 gameweeks into the 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League season already and things are really beginning to hot up now with doubles and blanks coming thick and fast.

One thing that all FPL managers have learned since the start of this Premier League campaign is to ALWAYS captain Erling Haaland.

However, with two teams doubling in Gameweek 22 and Manchester City having just the singular fixture v Spurs, it's time to switch things up.

So, take a look at the best captaincy options for Double Gameweek 22 below.

Red Devils on FIRE

Manchester United's Double Gameweek 22 matches against Crystal Palace (H) and Leeds (H) make their top assets genuine Triple Captaincy options.

Now owned by 48.3% of managers, Marcus Rashford (£7.1m) is on fire at the moment and is a standout captaincy choice for FPL DGW22.

The 25-year-old is in the form of his life, having scored five goals in his last six Premier League matches.

Portuguese centre-mid Bruno Fernandes (£9.8m) is a great option too.

The 28-year-old has blanked just once in his last seven outings, scoring two goals and picking up four assists as well as six bonus points.

Currently owned by just 7.1% of FPL managers and firmly on penalty duties since Cristiano Ronaldo's departure, Bruno could be a brilliant captaincy differential this week.

Leeds lads

Leeds United are the only other team with a double gameweek confirmed for GW22 at this moment in time.

When it comes to Leeds assets, there are only two that can be considered captaincy choices, though we strongly recommend going for a Man United player instead.

Spanish striker Rodrigo Moreno (£6.4m) is your safest bet if you're after a Leeds player, and benefits from being a midfielder in Fantasy as he scores five points for every goal.

The veteran forward is Leeds' highest points scorer in FPL this season.

One player who could prove to be an incredible differential is 18-year-old Italian winger Wilfried Gnonto (£5.0m).

The teenager has had an incredible impact since joining the first team, scoring against West Ham in GW19 and then netting a fantastic brace against Cardiff in the FA Cup.

Matches against newly promoted Nottingham Forest (A) and Manchester United (A) could spell more returns for the youngster in DGW22.
