Veteran Turkish centre-forward Burak Yilmaz is the favourite to pick up Eredivisie's January POTM award.

The now 37-year-old scored four goals in five appearances, whilst also managing to pick up one assist too. His side, Fortuna Sittard, did only manage to win two matches from five, though.

Davy Klaassen (OVR86)

Former Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen oozes class. His side went unbeaten during the first month of the year, although drawing four matches will be a disappointment for Ajax fans.

The 29-year-old playmaker netted three goals in five matches in January, to take his overall tally to six for the 2022/23 league season.

Dusan Tadic (OVR 88)

Fellow Ajax and former Premier League player Dusan Tadic is in contention for the Player of the Month award this time around too.

The Serbian winger registered one goal and two assists in five appearances and could be handed an 88 OVR POTM item in FUT 23.

Jens Odgaard (OVR 82)

No, it's not the Premier League POTM winner Martin Odegaard, it's AZ Alkmaar forward Jens Odgaard. He does resemble the Arsenal club captain in more ways than one, though.

With a very similar last name, it's not surprising to learn they are both from Norway but they both get plenty of assists too! The Eredivisie star picked up three assists last month.

Orkun Kokcu (OVR 85)

Feyenoord went unbeaten last month which could help Orkun Kokcu's case for being awarded the POTM honours for January.

The 22-year-old scored two goals in five matches from the central-midfielder position and was excellent throughout.
