Instead, the Vanguard version 1.008 update eventually released, which cleared the problem itself.
With this, there's still no clear way to fix the "Connection Failed" error message in Call of Duty Vanguard. Instead, players that are experiencing this error on sign-in attempts will likely be unable to play the game until tonight's patch finally launches.
