It appears that Microsoft is now taking a leaf out of Sony's playbook as Gears 5 has been optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

But, because of how Xbox distribute their games, Gears 5 is also playable on Xbox One, so even last-gen owners will get fives games for free.

Coincidence?

The announcement of the Games With Gold games has come shortly after the recent RE Showcase, which gave us a first look at Resident Evil 8 gameplay.

It was also recently revealed that a brand new Indiana Jones game, the first since 2009, is in development.
