On the lead up to the Royal Rumble, these are the superstars that WWE have neglected to use, including Raw’s midcard champion.

With the Royal Rumble approaching, many superstars will be on the shows announcing their intention of winning it. These are the superstars that WWE have neglected to use on their weekly shows this week. 

Most notable absence: Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns

This week’s most notable absence was the Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns. There was no explanation for his absence and no mention of him on Raw. It is unknown if he will return to Raw this coming Monday for the Christmas Day episode but he is the Intercontinental Champion and with Brock Lesnar not on Raw weekly; they need a champion to show up weekly. 

Monday Night Raw

Big Cass: Last seen on the August 21st episode of Raw. He is out of action due to a knee injury. 

The Big Show: Last seen on the September 4th episode of Raw. 

Curt Hawkins: Last seen on the November 14th episode of SmackDown Live. 

Goldust: Last seen on the November 14th episode of SmackDown Live. 

Jeff Hardy: Last seen on the September 25th episode of Raw. He is currently out of action due to a shoulder injury. 

John Cena: Last seen at Survivor Series. Set to return on the Christmas Day episode of Raw. 

The Miz: Last seen on the November 20th episode of Raw; he is inactive as he is filming a movie. 

Maryse: Last seen on the September 11th episode of Raw; inactive as she is pregnant. 

R-Truth: Last seen on the August 28th episode of Raw. He is suffering from an undisclosed injury. 

Roman Reigns: Last seen on the December 11th episode of Raw.

Akira Tozawa: Last seen on the November 27th episode of Raw. 

Lince Dorado: Last seen on the October 2nd episode of Raw. 

Mustafa Ali: Last seen on the December 11th episode of Raw.

This week’s most notable return were Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, collectively known as The Revival. Dash and Dawson have both had problems with injury since being promoted to the main roster and haven’t had a chance to prove how great they are. Hopefully, they will stay healthy and prove why they deserve a chance to be the Raw Tag Team Champions.
