ROH War of the Worlds UK 2017 Recap & Results

Ring of Honor put on another great show from the UK with a mixture of ROH, New Japan, and UK talent as they continue their tour of the United Kingdom.

Bullet club hold on

The champions of Bullet Club held on to their titles as The Young Bucks retained their Tag Titles in a win over The Addiction before the main event where Cody successfully defended his title by beating LIJ's Sanada. Both matches were top notch, especially the main event where Cody continued his recent run of good performances since becoming the champ. A very cool moment early on as Naito stopped Cody from leaving, which the crowd seemed to enjoy. After winning his match Cody took to the mic to insult the crowd in Liverpool before asking who is left for him to beat. This caught the attention of Dalton Castle, who came to the ring and answered Cody by declaring that Dalton is left. Building towards what could be a very good match somewhere in the future.

Lethal gets his own back on The Last Real Man

Silas Young and Jay Lethal continued their feud as they individually went up against two local debutants as Lethal competed against Josh Bodom while Young battled Mark Haskins. Lethal was up first against Bodom in a match that surely made a lot of new fans for the young man. Silas Young tried to no avail to cost Lethal the match, only for the Franchise of ROH to get the victory anyway after hitting a lethal injection. Silas attacked his rival after the match but Lethal got his revenge later on when he cost Young his match with Haskins. Both men fought to the back as they built towards their Edinburgh Street Feet the following day in Scotland.

Kushida retains

In a four corner survival match, Kushida defended his TV Title against former champ Marty Scurll, Hiromu Takahashi, and Dalton Castle. All four guys were incredibly over with the crowd and, as per usual with these type of matches, there was a lot of action. There was a bit of comedy early on as the crowd chanted for Takahashi's toy cat, Daryl. The comedy soon gave way to the action though as this match turned into the fast paced battle you would expect from these four men. There were a lot of near falls in this one and Dalton Castle came close to the win only for Hangman Page to pull the ref out of the ring before the three count. Kushida took advantage and got the pin over Castle.
