The upcoming open-world action RPG, Wuthering Waves, prepares to rival the likes of Genshin Impact with its robust combat system, unique traversal mechanics, and perhaps most enticingly, its diverse cast of characters.
While overall, Wuthering Waves embraces a darker tone as per its post-apocalyptic premise, its playable characters are nothing short of varied. From austere healers to happy-go-lucky damage dealers, there’s a “main” for everyone!
Wuthering Waves playable character list
Currently, Wuthering Waves features a cast of 16 anime-style characters, known as Resonators. Each Resonator is equipped with a diverse arsenal, including chain normal attacks, heavy attacks, a unique Resonance Skill (E), a powerful Resonance Liberation (Ultimate/R), Outro Passive and Intro Ability (which forms the QTE), and a special passive that enhances a part of their kit called Forte Circuit.
There are five weapon types: Rectifier, Gauntlet, Broadblade, Pistol, and Sword. While the game forgoes elemental reactions, Wuthering Waves offers a variety of elemental variations across characters and enemies. The core elements are Fusion (Fire), Glacio (Ice), Conducto (Lightning), Aero (Air), Havoc (Dark), and Spectra (Light).
