As mentioned above, it brought players a unique experience. It's also a new way of having fun with friends while also honing your skills.

Let's find out more about that below.

Team Deathmatch gameplay

Team Deathmatch has two teams of five players each facing off. It has a duration of 9 minutes and 30 seconds. The team that reaches 100 kills first wins the match.

However, this mode is different from the traditional Deathmatch. It incorporates elements from other game modes such as Spike Rush, and Swiftplay, which makes it unique.

The game mode has four different stages. You get to choose your loadout for each stage. The weapons load outs change with each stage, and it also upgrades in firepower.

There are weapon spawners, orbs, recovery orbs, and ultimates orbs, among others, spread across the map. After you collect one of these orbs they will take 30 seconds to respawn.

Players can also use abilities and they will refresh after each cooldown. The abilities' cooldown is the same as in ranked or casual games.

Once a player dies, they will respawn after 1.5 seconds on their team spawn. When players respawn, they get a buff that protects them from damage and abilities for 15 seconds.

If players stay in spawn for more than 15 seconds, then they will start taking damage.

As mentioned above, the first team to reach 10 kills wins the game. If no team reaches 100 kills before the time expires, then the team with the most kills will come out victorious.

In the event that both teams end with the same number of kills, the match ends in a draw. Every player wins 1K XP per match.

Valorant Team Deathmatch Maps

The maps for this game mode were created from scratch. It's another aspect that adds a unique flavour to this game mode.

They are quite small and have plenty of flash zones. So, agents like Phoenix, Skye, and Breach are pretty strong.
