Will Tiger Woods play in the PGA Championship 2022?

The 2022 PGA Championship is fast approaching, as the best players in the world of golf get a second chance to mark their name onto the Major's board.

Scottie Scheffler will be hoping that he can go back-to-back, after this three-stroke victory at the Masters last month, whilst the likes of Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas will be amongst the favourites to lift the trophy at Southern Hills Country Club.

Tiger Woods made his comeback at the Masters, after missing over a year of action following a car accident in February 2021, but will the 15-time major champion take to the fairways at the PGA Championship 2022?

Will Tiger Woods play at the PGA Championship 2022?

Nobody captures the attention of the golfing world quite like Tiger Woods, with the 46-year-old given a hero's welcome on his return to action at Augusta National.

The prospects of Tiger playing at Southern Hill looked bleak following his final round at Augusta, with the American declaring that he was unsure whether he would play Southern Hills.

However, it appears that Tiger has had a change of heart, with Woods amongst those included in the official field list for the 2022 PGA Championship.

This list is subject to change prior to the start of the competition. However, as things stand, Woods will be teeing off at Southern Hills in May.

Who is in the field?

The PGA of America has released the field list for the 104th PGA Championship, with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson amongst those to declare their intention to play.

Other notable inclusions include Jordan Spieth - who is a PGA win away from completing the career Grand Slam - and Scottie Scheffler the #1 ranked player in the world.

As is the case with all the tournaments on the PGA tour, the field is subject to change right up until the first tee ball is hit.
