Who is the New York Giants backup quarterback 2022?

The New York Giants moved to 3-1 on Sunday, as they saw off the Chicago Bears by 20-12.

The victory came at a cost though, as starting quarterback Daniel Jones was removed from the contest in the third quarter with what appeared to be a left ankle injury.

The Giants will head over to London to take on the Green Bay Packers in their next outing, but who will be on hand to fill in for Jones if he is unable to feature in the international affair?

Who is the New York Giants' backup quarterback?

Tyrod Taylor is listed as the Giants' backup quarterback for 2022, but he also left the field injured during Sunday's victory over the Bears.

This leaves the Giants in a difficult predicament, as Jones and Taylor are the only two quarterbacks currently listed on the active roster for the New York-based franchise.

Running back Saquon Barkley filled in at QB for the remainder of the tie, taking a number of direct snaps in an unorthodox role for the 25-year-old.

Davis Webb joined the New York Giants for a second stint in February 2022, but was waived and added to the practice squad ahead of the start of the current season.

Webb is currently without a squad, and is likely to be added to the active roster if the injuries to Jones and Taylor prove to be more serious than first feared.

Will Daniel Jones play against the Green Bay Packers?

There is currently no news regarding the injury sustained by Daniel Jones against the Chicago Bears.

Jones was seen moving freely on his ankle following his removal from the match on Sunday, however, the Giants' coaching staff opted against putting the 25-year-old back into the match.

More news is expected later in the week. Be sure to check back here for any information regarding Jones' availability for their NFL London clash with the Green Bay Packers.
