A lesser-known Brtish star competing this year is World No.219 Paul Jubb, but despite gaining access to this year's competition via a wildcard entry, the 22-year-old is catching the eye of many admirers.

Paul Jubb's Wimbledon campaign is over, but it wasn't for a lack of trying from the young Brit.

The 22-year-old took the heavily fancied Nick Kyrgios the distance on Court 3, but unfortunately for the Wildcard entry, he fell agonisingly short of a famous win.

He was handed a standing ovation from a raucous Wimbledon crowd as he left for the locker rooms, something tells us it won't be his last appearance at the famous event.

Who is Paul Jubb?

Paul Jubb is a 22-year-old British tennis player from York, England. He was handed a wildcard entry in order to compete at this year's Wimbledon Championships.

Jubb has competed at Wimbledon once before, losing in four sets to Joao Sousa back in 2019. He will face off against Australian ace Nick Kyrgios in Round One of this year's competition.

Jubb turned professional back in 2020 and has yet to win a match on the ATP Tour, but has enjoyed a little more success on the Challenger Tour, with a 0.625 win percentage in his career so far. He has claimed one Challenger tour title, with victory at the ATP Bolivia earlier this year.
