The domestic game has returned across Europe, with Manchester City and Bayern Munich among those leading their respective leagues early in the season.

But as always, one eye is firmly fixed on the return of European competition, with the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League tournaments all due to start in September.

Whilst it may not have the glitz and glamour of the Champions League, the Europa League success provides not only a major European honour but also a ticket into the following season's Champions League draw.

But when will the draw for the 2022/23 UEFA Europa League group stage take place? Here is everything you need to know.

When is the 2022/23 UEFA Europa League group stage draw?

The Europa League 2022-23 group stage draw will take place on Friday, August 26th 2022.

This Europa League draw will be held in the same location as the Champions League, with Istanbul's Halic Congress Center the venue of choice.

The event is scheduled to begin at 12pm BST.

As always, the 32 teams who have qualified for the competition will be split into four pots, each consisting of eight teams.

With the competition's qualification stages still in progress, there are still a number of teams whose fate has yet to be decided and as such, there is no definitive seeding as of yet.
