Taylor's Exeter City departure: As it happened

Exeter City has fallen victim to circumstance in losing Matt Taylor over the past week, with the impressive young manager making the switch to Yorkshire to replace Paul Warne as Rotherham manager.

Warne had made the move down a division to join League One giants Derby County following an impressive start to the 2022/23 campaign with the Millers.

Cambridge boss Mark Bonner was Rotherham's first choice target, but he produced a late u-turn, opting to stay with Cambridge. Exeter boss Matt Taylor was therefore Rotherham's next target.
