Chelsea vs Spurs: Premier League Preview, Lineups and Predictions

Two of London's biggest clubs go head-to-head in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as Chelsea welcomes Spurs to Stamford Bridge.

RealSport101's Harry Smith is on hand to preview the action, complete with team news, predicted starting XIs and betting predictions.

Chelsea vs Spurs Team News

Thomas Tuchel has a fully fit squad at his disposal for the visit of London rivals Spurs this weekend, and could stick with an unchanged starting XI following a narrow opening day victory against Frank Lampard's Everton side.

Former Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly will retain his place at the back. The Senegalese international was withdrawn after suffering from a cramp at Goodison Park but will be fit enough to start on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte will have to contend with an injury to academy graduate Oliver Skipp when his side makes the short trip over to West London. The central midfielder is carrying a knock and is expected to miss at least the next two matches.

The Italian also has decisions to make regarding potential full debuts for Djed Spence, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison. The latter was suspended for the opening day clash with Southampton but is likely to feature from the bench this weekend.

Predicted Lineups

Chelsea (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Koulibaly; James, Kante, Jorginho, Chilwell; Mount, Sterling; Havertz

Spurs (3-4-2-1): Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Royal, Højberg, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Son; Kane

Match Preview

Chelsea had Italian regista Jorginho to thank last weekend as his first-half stoppage time penalty helped to secure a 1-0 away win against Everton, ending a tricky run at Goodison Park in the process.

Positive debuts for Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling will give the Blues hope as they prepare to take on Spurs. The Blues won all four meetings with Antonio Conte's side last season, but Sunday's opponents are stronger than ever heading into this gameweek 2 clash.

Spurs turned in an emphatic performance against Ralph Hasenhuttl's Southampton on the opening day with Dejan Kulusevski running the show in a comfortable 4-1 home victory. Conte's men have strengthened significantly this summer and look like major top-four contenders.

Score Prediction: Chelsea 1-2 Spurs
