2022 World Matchplay Darts Day 1 Odds: Saturday, July 16th


The much-anticipated 2022 World Matchplay Darts event gets underway on Saturday night as one of the biggest tournaments in darts kicks off.

The 2022 iteration of the tournament will see ten sessions played across nine days, kicking off on Saturday, July 16th and coming to a close with the final on July 24th.

Day one of this summer's tournament has some big names headlining with reigning champion Peter Wright getting his 2022 World Matchplay campaign underway with a game against the Latvian, Madars Razma.

Elsewhere, current world No.8 Jonny Clayton is in action. The Welshman is a strong favourite for his match against Rowby-John Rodriguez and will be hoping to advance deep into the tournament.

Dimitri Van den Bergh faces a tough test against Callan Rydz in the second game of the evening. The Dutchman won the 2020 World Matchplay tournament, beating Gary Anderson in the final, and will be looking to impress again in 2022.
