Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is almost here! In fact, we're just about a week away from release. If you want to make sure you can play with Ratchet and Clank as soon as possible, we have all the information you need to know about pre-installing and preloading the game.
When Can You Preload Ratchet & Clank?
Although we haven't seen an official announcement from Insomniac Games, it looks like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart's preload period starts today!
According to PlayStation leaker, PlayStationSize, Rift Apart can be pre-installed on your PlayStation 5 from June 4th, a week before the full release date.
It's looking like the title will be about 33.6GB in size too, which isn't too drastic. It was expected to be around 42GB, but PlayStation 5 games can compress once installed.
Of course, the PS5 doesn't have any internal storage expansion options available yet. You may have to delete something to fit this on if you have titles like FIFA 21 and Black Ops Cold War installed. As a native PS5 release, this will need to be installed on the console's internal hard drive.
Rift Apart Recap
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is going to be a huge title for the series. It's a flagship game for both Insomniac Games and the PlayStation 5 and it plans to use everything the new hardware has to offer.
Okay, it might not have any co-op features but... We can hope for some sort of update in the future, right?
