Konami has FINALLY spoken out on eFootball 2022 once again after months of silence regarding the all-new upcoming release.

Fans of the formerly PES franchise have been left in the dark when it comes to what's happening to their beloved game, but thankfully it looks like Konami has a plan for the new title in the near future.

Konami apologise to eFootball fans

Konami has released the following statement through the official eFootball Twitter account:

"Thank you for playing eFootball™ 2022. We apologise for the long wait for the release of the eFootball™ 2022 update (version 1.0.0)."

So, it looks like Konami is trying to reach out to lovers of the PES / eFootball franchise and perhaps rebuild some broken bridges after many fans were left disappointed and in some cases angry at the lack of communication from the Konami team.

Konami's Tweet then went on to say the following:

"The whole team is working hard towards the release of v1.0.0, and we look forward to your continued support."

So, despite what many of us may think, work is thankfully going on behind the scenes!

The long wait could hopefully mean that once version 1.0.0 does arrive, it is a vastly improved eFootball 2022 from what we have seen.

Pre-season Match Campaign begins!

It looks like there's yet more good news for eFootball fans...

Konami has kicked off the 'Pre-season Match Campaign' ahead of the version 1.0.0 update!

Players will be able to earn rewards by completing objectives in the current version of eFootball 2022.

The more matches you play and the more goals you score, the better the rewards you will receive in version 1.0.0.

So, now is the time to get prepared for what will hopefully be an awesome new and improved eFootball 2022!

Master League on eFootball 2022

Despite all the changes coming to the formerly PES title, Master League will still be available!

However, the offline mode will NOT be free to play, Instead, Konami will offer Master League as an optional DLC that can be purchased ont op of the game itself.

The DLC was not ready when the game was first released, and we still do not have a date for when the popular mode could potentially arrive.

We expect the Player Career "Become a Legend" will also become available in the DLC.
