Pokémon Legends Arceus: Where to Find all the Unown

Since its release, Pokémon Legends Arceus has taken the world by storm. Changing up the traditional Pokémon formula and making allowing players to catch to their heart's content. But while your boxes may be filling with Bidoofs, one Pokémon has a very special place in the Pokédex: Unown.

The equivalent of the Pokémon alphabet, there are 28 of these little guys to catch all around the Hisui Region. Once you have them all, you'll be able to catch them freely, including shiny and alpha variants.

Where to find Unown A

Unown A Clue: WITHIN THE SETTLEMENT WHERE TIME RULES

With Dialga being the Pokémon that represents time in this region revered by the Diamond Clan, this is a hint that Unown A is in their settlement in the Crimson Mirelands. He can be found on top of one of their tents.

Where to find Unown B

Unown B Clue: TURN YOUR EYES UP AT THE VOLCANIC ISLAND

As you come to the Cobalt Coastlands, it won't be long before you've acquired your ridable Basculegion that will help to visit Firespit Island. Once there, after some essential plot details, you'll be able to see the Unown on the side of the central volcano. If you need a marker, just look out for the Alpha Ninetales guarding it. Just... don't let it burn you while you try to catch the Unown.

Where to find Unown C

Unown C Clue: LOOK TO THE RUINED PILLARS OF CELESTICA

Once you get to the Coronet Highlands, you'll soon find yourself on your way to the Celestica Ruins. This Unown is sat on top of a pillar close to the middle of the map. But, you'll need the help of a trusty Braviary or Sneasler to have you glide or climb up to it.

Where to find Unown D

Unown D Clue: AMONG STUMPS AND CAMPFIRE ASHES IN FIELDS OF GOLD

Essentially, this means heading back to the abandoned campsite in the Crimson Mirelands where you first met Charm, Coin and Clover. Unown D will be sat on one of the stumps just waiting to be caught.

Where to find Unown E

Unown E Clue: A LONE TREE IN A POND IN THE GROVE

Make your way over to the Obsidian Fieldlands, where you'll find a lake in Gruelling Grove. There, with its single tree, you'll find Unown E right at the top.

Where to find Unown F

Unown F Clue: A STONY OUTCROP OVER POOLS OF MUD ON A MIGHTY MOUNTAIN

For this one, head on over to the Coronet Highlands and then to the Ancient Quarry. Search the southern face of the mountain and you'll find it overlooking the pools. You can either thrown a well aimed ball up there, or have Sneasler climb up to snag it.

Where to find Unown G

Unown G Clue: ATOP A WATERFALL OF OBSIDIAN

Make your way over to the Obsidian Falls over in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Take a look at the top and Unown G will be on the rock close to the water.

Where to find Unown H

Unown H Clue: A VILLAGE GATEWAY

Quite a literal clue. Unown H is right at the start of the game on the welcome sign to Jubilife Village. Either someone didn't do their proofreading, or Unown H has made its way on there.

Where to find Unown I

Unown I Clue: THE LAKE WHERE EMOTION RESIDES

Fans of the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl will recognise that Mesprit is the Pokémon representing emotions and resides at Lake Verity. In this game, the lake is in the Obsidian Fieldlands, with Unown I floating around the island outside the cave.

Where to find Unown J

Unown J Clue: A NOOK WITHIN A QUARRY

In the Coronet Highlands, you'll find the Ancient Quarry. From there, if you follow the path beneath the hill, you'll find Unown J on the wall along the way.

Where to find Unown K

Unown K Clue: WHERE STONES PILE HIGH AMID FOGBOUND RUINS

In the Crimson Mirelands, you'll need to head to the Shrouded Ruins. In the southern area, you'll find a series of rocks. The one overlooking the cliff will have Unown K looking skyward, not expecting to be caught.

Where to find Unown L

Unown L Clue: AN IMPASSE IN A CAVE ADORNED BY TWIN FALLS

Back in the original Diamond and Pearl generation, Hidden Moves, or HMs, were all the rage and took up valuable slots in your Pokémon's move pool. Thankfully, they're a thing of the past now, and you're able to use any Pokémon to smash some rocks. For Unown L, you'll need to head to the Wayward Cave in Coronet Highlands. You'll come across the breakable rocks as you diver deeper into the cave. Once they're broken, follow the bath to find the Unown.

Where to find Unown M

Unown M Clue: A TREE FELLED ON SLUDGE

Over by the Sludge Mound in the Crimson Mirelands, you'll come across a fallen tree. Unown M will be sat on the tree's husk waiting for you.

Where to find Unown N

Unown N Clue: TWO HORNS RISING FROM THE SEA

When you head to the Cobalt Coastlands, you can't miss the two arched rocks jutting out of the ocan. Make your way over to them using your Basculegion and you'll find Unown N on the right-hand side.

Where to find Unown O

Unown O Clue: THREE PILLARS IN A WORLD OF ICE

Once you have access to the Alabaster Icelands, looks for a hole in the Avalanche Slopes. There you'll find the Ice Column Chamber and with it, Unown O on one of the columns. But be warned, if you thought the Alpha Ninetales was scary, just watch out for the Alpha Froslass lurking around the area.

Where to find Unown P

Unown P Clue: AMONG FLOWERS AT THE SPRING WHERE FAIRIES DWELL

Over in Coronet Highlands, you'll find Fabled Spring. Among the dancing Roselia in the flower patch, you'll see Unown P poking out, ready and waiting to be caught.

Where to find Unown Q

Unown Q Clue: TWIN TREES AT THE SPRING BY THE SEA

Back to the Cobalt Coastlands, you'll need to make your way over to Turnback Cave. It might be tricky to catch, but the Unown is sat in a tree near to the cave. Just aim and throw and don't waste your balls.

Where to find Unown R

Unown R Clue: BY THE GRAVE UPON THE CAPE

Besides Lavender Town, Pokémon doesn't make a habit of showing off gravesites. But in this case there is a grave in the Cobalt Coastlands. Once you've found it, you need to head a little way past it, look back and Unown R will be there waiting on the wall.

Where to find Unown S

Unown S Clue: WHERE STICK AND LOG DAM THE RIVER

You can't miss the sheer number of Bidoof in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and boy, have they been busy. As you make you way toward the second campsite, you'll see a busy little dam surround by Bidoof and Bibarel. Thankfully, they're pretty friendly and won't bother you while you catch Unown S sat on the dam.

Where to find Unown T

Unown T Clue: GAZE DOWN FROM ATOP THE GREAT GLACIAL LEGACY

We're heading to the Alabaster Icelands now. More specifically, Avalugg's Legacy on the map. From there, head out until you see a group of ice formation, with Unown T sat right on top.

Where to find Unown U

Unown U Clue: THE UNUSUAL STONE STARING OUT ACROSS THE SNOWFIELDS

Despite the obscure clue, you need to stay in the Alabaster Icelands, this time heading toward Heart's Crag. Once you reach a huge cliff, make your way up using Sneasler and you'll find Unown U roaming around up there as you look out from the other side.

Where to find Unown V

Unown V Clue: A WITHERED TREE IN THE SPRAWLING RED SWAMP

The Crimson Mirelands is the place to be for Unown V. From the swamps of Scarlet Bog, you'll see some trees poking out of the water. Among their branches, you'll find Unown.

Where to find Unown W

Unown W Clue: THE LEFT EYE ATOP THE VILLAGE

When you get the chance to visit Commander Kamado, make a right as you head into his office to gain access to his private balcony and the roof of the Galaxy Team Headquarters. Head around to the other side of the balcony and you'll spot one of the large Magikarp statues with a lovely set of eyelashes. Or at least... it looks like an eyelash. Throw your Poké Ball at it and you'll have caught Unown W.

Where to find Unown X

Unown X Clue: SCALE THE GRAND TREE

The Grand Tree should sound familiar, as it is the Grandtree Arena where you fought Kleavor. Using Sneasler, ascend the tree until you find Unown X on one of the broken branches. Just remember... don't look down!

Where to find Unown Y

Unown Y Clue: SCALE THE FROZEN FALLS

A pretty easy one. Simply climb onto your Braviary and head on over the the Icebound Falls in the Alabaster Icelands. From there, check out the large wall of ice and keep an eye out for Unown Y waiting there.

Where to find Unown Z

Unown Z Clue: A TIMEWORD SHIP ON A SANDY SHAW

Over in the Cobalt Coastlands, you'll find plenty of wrecked ships in the Deadwood Haunt area, along with a whole host of spooky Duskulls and Dusclops. Among the masts, you'll find Unown Z sticking out like sore thumb. It probably got up there to get away from the ghosts!

Where to find Unown !

Unown ! Clue: A DEAD TREE BY THE HOT SPRING

While there are plenty of dead trees in Hisui, there is only one hotspring. Make your way over to the Alabaster Icelands' Snowfall Hot Spring and you'll easily spot Unown ! swinging from a branch from the nearby tree.

Where to find Unown ?

Unown ? Clue: WHERE THINGS HANG TO DRY AT THE LIVING QUARTERS

Simply head back to your lodgings in Jubilife Village, head on round to the backyard and there you'll find Unown ?, hanging nicely with your shirts and socks.
