The Eels have toppled their bitter rivals to the tune of 14-8, to kick off proceedings for round 19. In what was a largely scrappy and uninspiring affair between two old rivals, it was apparent as to why both sides find themselves in the positions they sit on the ladder. It was almost as though the rivalry element was nonexistent in a match between the fiercest of rivals.
