Liverpool turned a £21 million loss in 2016 into a £39 million post-tax profit in 2017 thanks, in part, to the first year of the latest mega-money Premier League broadcasting deal and a shiny new Main Stand at Anfield.
This could leave manager Jurgen Klopp with money to spend in the summer transfer as his Liverpool team look to become more heavily involved in the race for the Premier League title next season.
Liverpool haven't conquered England's top flight since the 1989-90 season and Klopp is yet to win bring a trophy back to Merseyside in his three years as manager despite propelling the club back into Champions League.
