Besiktas 1-3 Bayern Munich: 5 things we learned

On Wednesday, Bayern completed a comprehensive 8-1 aggregate victory in Istanbul, having effectively clinched the tie following a 5-0 rout last month in the first leg in Munich.

Whilst their opponents in the Round of 16 were hardly the most rigorous test, Jupp Heynckes will be happy to have eased past them without any real issues.

With a quarterfinal fixture against Sevilla now lined up in April, the German footballing powerhouse can be hopeful of going through to the semifinals.
