PG – Dennis Schroder, Atlanta Hawks @ Phoenix Suns

It is a close call between Kemba Walker and Dennis Schroder as to who gets the title of top point guard in tonight’s slate (if Damian Lillard is still out). Schroder is the slightly cheaper option, has been more consistent over the last few games, and has the much more advantageous matchup in the Phoenix Suns. Schroder is averaging 22.5 points and 7.8 assists over his last four games and is set to take on a Suns team which is giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.

SG – Buddy Hield/Bogdan Bogdanovic, Charlotte Hornets @ Sacramento Kings

Shooting guard will be rich with shooting guard options, with the likes of CJ McCollum, Devin Booker, Tyreke Evans, and Lou Williams all available and will be up against some favorable matchups. In terms of low-cost, high-upside picks to pair alongside those bigger names, the Sacramento Kings’ shooting guards, Buddy Hield, and Bogdan Bogdanovic, are the way to go. The two have been frustratingly inconsistent fantasy players to be sure, but they offer a lot of upside since they are set to go up against the Charlotte Hornets, who have some of the worst shooting guard defense in the entire league. They made that clear once again as they saw Lou Williams drop 40 points on them on New Year’s Eve.

SF – TJ Warren, Phoenix Suns vs. Atlanta Hawks

Warren has been the picture of consistency over the last couple of weeks. He’s averaging 23.3 points and 6.0 rebounds over his last seven games, which has seen him pick up between 34 and 45 fantasy points in six of seven games. Even the return of Devin Booker has not hampered his fantasy production as he has posted 54 points over his last two games. Warren’s upside will be nudged that much higher with tonight’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, who happen to be giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.

PF – John Collins/Ersan Ilyasova, Atlanta Hawks @ Phoenix Suns

Between Collins and Ilyasova on the Hawks and Marquese Chriss on the Suns, the power forward position in this Hawks-Suns matchup could end up producing some great value. Collins has not shown much upside over the last few weeks, but he has at least been fairly consistent. He’s had 26-33 points on FanDuel in eight of his last ten games and should be a decent bet to reach that mark against the Suns. Ilyasova offers slightly higher upside as he has had 6x value in four of his last five games. Picking Chriss – the cheapest option of the three – might produce more value, although he could also be the riskiest play as his impressive run of late could end at any moment.

C – Pau Gasol, San Antonio Spurs @ New York Knicks

After a string of impressive performances, Pau Gasol finally fell back down to earth with a mere eight points and ten rebounds in a blowout loss to the Detroit Pistons. However, it should be fair to expect a bounce-back game from Gasol and the Spurs as they take on the New York Knicks tonight. Gasol dropped a terrific line of 17 points, 11 boards, and seven assists against the Knicks last week, and even if he does not quite reach those levels, he can still provide stellar value given his reasonable price.
