Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Lineup advice for September 29, 2017
The final weekend of the regular season kicks off today with plenty of winning players set to take the field. This makes for a DFS goldmine.
It’s the last Friday of the regular season and that means it’s a perfect time for you to close out fantasy baseball with a bang! Today features must-pick players that are sure to garner a lot of points, regardless of their respective teams’ circumstances.
Thus, as we begin the close to the regular season, look no further than the following players!
Best DFS MLB pitchers for September 29, 2017
Few true aces take the mound today, but plenty of great arms are still available. These three, in particular, should come away with wins.
Zack Greinke @ Kansas City Royals: $11,300 DraftKings, FPPG- 21.0
Greinke is going up against a Royals team that has nothing to play for, so it also wouldn’t be a surprise if the Diamondbacks benched some starters ahead of the NL Wild Card Game. Greinke himself is expected to start that game, but that will be on regular rest. That said, expect him to go at least five innings just to keep his arm fresh and, more importantly, so he might pick up his 18th win of the season.
Chase Anderson @ St. Louis Cardinals: $9,100 DraftKings, FPPG- 17.7
Anderson’s Milwaukee Brewers are just two games behind the Colorado Rockies for the final NL Wild Card spot and close out their season not just against the Cardinals but inside St. Louis’s Busch Stadium. The Cardinals are out of the playoffs and will be looking to play spoiler, but Milwaukee has just been the better team this year. Anderson has also not lost to St. Louis this year and has gone 6-3 on the road this year, so look for him to go all out with his team’s playoff hopes on the line.
Charlie Morton @ Boston Red Sox: $7,900 DraftKings, FPPG- 19.3
Morton is not one who is picked often for fantasy, but today is different. He and his Houston Astros teammates are fighting the Cleveland Indians for the top seed in the American League and absolutely pulverized the Red Sox last night, 12-2. Morton posted a 4.26 ERA on the road this year, but count on his hot-hitting teammates to get started early against Red Sox starter Doug Fister so the veteran righty can coast to victory.
Best DFS MLB hitters for September 29, 2017
And to help counter strong pitching picks, here are some can’t-miss hitters.
Aaron Judge vs Toronto Blue Jays: $5,700 DraftKings, FPPG- 10.8
Judge continued to swing the hot bat in slugging his 51st home run of the season last night, so here in DFS picks he stays. His New York Yankees are also coming off of a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Rays, so look for him to lead the charge as New York takes what could be its last breath in the race for the AL East.
Giancarlo Stanton vs Atlanta Braves: $5,600 DraftKings, FPPG- 10.5
Stanton proved to not be dead yet last night when he hit two long shots for his 58th and 59th home runs of the season. His Marlins may be out, but his bat appears to be coming alive in garbage time. Going up against an Atlanta team that ranks 24th in pitching with a staff ERA of 4.69, number 60 is likely coming over the next three days. This guy is betting it happens tonight.
Carlos Correa @ Boston Red Sox: $5,300 DraftKings, FPPG- 10.6
Correa is leading the charge in the Astros’ chase for the top seed and he got off to a great start in Boston last night, going 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI to go with three runs scored. The hot-hitting should easily continue tonight because, honestly, Houston is just that strong of a team at the plate.
Best stack option
And have we got a great one today!
Cleveland Indians vs Mike Pelfrey (CHW)
Pelfrey turned in another lost season to the tune of going 3-11 with a 5.52 ERA for Chicago this year and with the Indians fighting for that top AL seed, their hot bats need to be owned. This includes Francisco Lindor ($5,500), Jose Ramirez ($5,500), and Edwin Encarnacion ($5,200).
