Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Lineup advice (June 20, 2018 - 7:05pm ET contest)

The evening contest has most of the elite teams today. Boston and the Yankees are involved, Houston and Washington are playing, as are the Rockies. The issue is that some rain may well get involved in the east coast games, so keep an eye out as first pitch approaches in Washington, New York, and Pittsburgh. So, who should be in your lineup?

Gio Gonzalez Vs. Baltimore Orioles ($10,200)

Gio Gonzalez hasn't had the best June. In three starts he has added nearly a whole run to his ERA, he's allowed four homers, and even the Giants were able to put the hurt on him with four runs in 3.1 innings. Still, Gonzalez is experienced enough to trust that he will turn it around, and the Orioles are terrible enough to be the perfect team to find your mojo against.

Jakob Junis Vs. Texas Rangers ($8,200)

Junis' season is one of good pitching with too many home runs scattered in between. He has a 1.21 WHIP, which doesn't fly with a 4.43 ERA until you see he has given up 18 home runs already this year. He has allowed three bombs in each of his last two starts, which has bumped his ERA up by nearly a run, but he is a solid pitcher who deserves a shot with a good matchup today. It's a risk, but who isn't.

Seth Lugo @ Colorado Rockies ($6,100)

This is a risk. In three starts this season Lugo has two shutout-performances and a blow up. Last time out he allowed two homers and five runs in his five innings, but he went six scoreless against the Yankees and four scoreless against the Cubs. Lugo has been on point with his strikeouts this season, and is not walking many at all. The issue is he's at Coors Field against a lineup that loves to go deep. If you want a cut-price pitcher then you are willing to take on a bit of risk, and Lugo is just right.

Eduardo Escobar Vs. Boston Red Sox ($4,700)

Escobar has been on fire lately. He's not hit a homer in his last 10 games, instead he's just picked up eight doubles and two triples to create a .410 batting average and 10 RBI. As the seventh-most expensive shortstop in this contest he provides good value for any lineup.

Anthony Rendon Vs. Baltimore Orioles ($4,100)

Rendon is finding his feet of late. 11 hits, including four doubles, in his last 10 games has the Nationals third baseman putting up 7.9 points per game of late while looking like he is set for a full breakout soon.

Delino DeShields @ Kansas City Royals ($3,800)

DeShields is finding ways to create points. He's hitting .364 over the last 10 games, with three steals and eight walks to keep the points ticking over. He swings between batting second and ninth, and both lend themselves to scoring runs as well.
