Will Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection have Multiplayer?

The Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection is on the way and we're excited to see Nathan Drake most recent adventures come to PS5. The big finale to Drake's story and the Chloe focused spin-off are included, but are the multiplayer modes that can with 4? Will the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection have Multiplayer?

To put it plainly, no. The Legacy of Thieves Collection is not going to feature Uncharted's multiplayer mode. The PlayStation Blog post detailing the improvements coming to Uncharted 4: A Theif's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy has specified this with the following statement:

" Please note that the multiplayer mode included in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will not be a part of this new collection."

This has proven an unpopular decision with fans - but Naughty Dog's exclusion of multiplayer isn't surprising. It isn't all hopeless, though...

Could the unannounced multiplayer standalone game coming from Naughty Dog be a reinvention of Uncharted's multiplayer modes?
