A full 15 years after its initial release The Witcher Remake has been announced by CD Projekt RED and is set to bring the classic roleplaying game to modern systems via Unreal Engine 5.
Currently, in the early stages of development, the game will introduce the original Witcher game to many fans of the series, which only found its popularity through its subsequent games. Here's what we know so far.

CD Projekt Red Announce The Witcher Remake
The Witcher Remake will be developed by Polish studio Fool's Theory which is comprised of veterans of the Witcher Series while CD Projekt Red are supervising them.
Known as "Canis Majoris", the announcement claims that the game is still a while off and it will be some time before more detailed information is ready to be revealed on the project.
CD Projekt RED's Head of Studio Adam Badowski spoke about The Witcher Remake, saying that The Witcher was "The first game we made, ever and it was a big moment..." and that "remaking the game for the next generation of gamers to experience feels just as big, if not bigger".
