The Server Downtime is over and you can jump into Sea of Thieves Season 2 right now!
There Fort of Fortune World Event might seem like the highlight of this update, but there's a new Plunder Pass, Emissary Trade Routes, and buyable Resource Crates?

As you might imagine, there's a lot going on and Sea of Thieves looks like it has another solid season ahead of it. You can check out everything on the official Season Two page from Sea of Thieves here.
Sea of Thieves is literally going offline to update the game for Season 2 and we still don't really know what's coming in Season 2.
All we do know is that the "Barrell Hiding" Emote will be available in the Plunder Pass and there's a new Fort, the Fort of Fortune, for Pirates to tackle when they get back onto their ships.
The Sea of Thieves Server Downtime begins at 05:00 EST / 10:00 BST and is expected to go on for at least two hours. We'll make sure we keep you updated when things return to normal.
Start Time Confirmed
We finally know when Sea of Thieves Season 2 is due to start! There's going to be a bit of Server Downtime to usher in the new season and Rare have shared the following information:
Sea of Thieves is due to go down at around 05:00 EST / 10:00 BST on April 15th in order to update the game's servers and content.
We don't know exactly how long this will last, but these things usually last a couple of hours. Therefore, we're expecting Sea of Thieves to be offline until at least 07:00 EST / 12:00 BST.
Ahead of the launch, we have the new Season 2 trailer, apart from seeing a new emote and a small glimpse at some cosmetic items, it doesn't really give us any indication as to what to expect.

We can expect to see another Battle Pass in Sea of Thieves Season 2, giving players 100 levels worth of content to unlock, as well as new cosmetics that will be exclusive to Plunder Pass buyers.
We can expect to see some new world events throughout Season 2.
In the teaser trailer, we see some sort of Skeleton Fort, which will no doubt play a large role in the upcoming season.
