The trophies give us a good indication of what to expect from the game.

We can see that there are three Acts, with potentially a final act to conclude the game, there also appears to be five boss enemies that players need to take down.

They also give us a good look at what to expect from weapon upgrades and other mechanics in the game.

It is hard to judge how easy or difficult these will be to unlock but on the surface, the list doesn't look too overly complex, but the translation tiers, Xeno-archives, House sequences, and scout logs could potentially mean some sort of collectathon which is always...fun.

Release Date

Returnal will be launching worldwide on April 30th.

The game was originally due to release on March 19th but it was pushed back by just over a month to allow the developers to polish the game a little more.

Platforms

The game will be launching exclusively on PS5, making it one of the first games to completely bypass the previous generation.

This is due to the game utilizing many features of the PS5 including 3D audio, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers.

Returnal will also load almost instantly, something that wouldn't be achievable on PlayStation 4.

It is possible that the game could come to PC at a later date, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

Recently we have seen both Microsoft and Sony bring more of their console games to PC, with Sony releasing exclusives such as Horizon Zero Dawn on PC.
