LATEST - Developers give an estimate for Old School RuneScape Servers

Old School RuneScape's developers have given an overview of the server issues on Twitter.

According to the Tweet, "an external data centre provider experienced a site-wide issue which resulted in full downtime of servers housed there." In response to that, wanting to preserve game data and progress, the developers estimate that all services will be functional by Wednesday, November 23, at 7:00 a.m.

On Tuesday, November 2022, Old School RuneScape players have begun experiencing issues login into the game.

In response to that, the developers have been giving updates on the official Old School RuneScape Twitter.

At first, they couldn't figure out where the problems stemmed from, but now they declared that the issues come from the Centre stating, "There is an active issue at the Centre which is currently being assessed. Our engineers have arrived on site and are syncing up with the Data Centre team. We'll share any expected timelines as soon as we have them."

Since then, they've been continuing their updates, mentioning that they are "continuing to work with" the Data Centre providers on "getting a clear timeline on the issue."

The developers have taken down the servers and plan to give a "better indication on when to expect the Old School RuneScape services to return" soon.

"We believe we'll be able to provide a better indication on when to expect Old School RuneScape services to return within the next hour," the developers stated on Twitter. "While our news pages remain unavailable, we'll continue to provide updates via our social channels as we're able to."
