King of Fighters XV Release Date & Open Beta revealed

King of Fighters is a fighting game series that has been going strong for well over two decades now. With a huge roster of characters and even more games behind them, the series relies on innovation to keep players coming back time and time again.

King of Fighters XV is the long-awaited follow-up to the previous game from 2016 and there's quite a lot on the line. Now that we finally have a release date and confirmation of an upcoming open beta, the hype is about to begin.

Here's what we know so far about King of Fighters XV.

King of Fighters XV Release Date

King of Fighters XV will finally see its release on February 17th, 2022. This February launch will place it alongside huge titles like Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, and Horizon Forbidden West.

Although it is a busy month, this seems to be the only major fighting game release so it stands in a league of its own.

Open Beta Test

In this announcement, they also stated that they would be running an open beta test in November. The times are

• PST: November 19th 7pm - 22nd 6:59 am
• CET: November 20th 4am - 22nd 3:59 pm
• JST November 20th 12pm - 22nd 23:59 pm

This gives you an entire weekend to give the game a go for yourself. If you're used to old King of Fighters games and you're not sure if you will like the new style, this is a good chance to give it a go.
