Genshin Impact 2.4 will introduce the new character Yun Jin, the 8th Geo character. She is the director of the Yun-Han Opera Troupe and is also a famous figure in Liyue Harbor's opera scene.
Yun Jin is known for her sweet singing voice and intricate costumes. Yun Jin will help close the gap with other elements like Pyro (10) and Cryo (9).

Release Time and Schedule
Yun Jin will arrive on the first banner of the Genshin Impact 2.4 update on January 5, 2021.
- The server's maintenance will be around five hours.

Yun Jin Abilities
Normal Attacks - Cloud Grazing Strike
Yunjin performs a combination of five attacks that resemble a choreographic performance.
Normal Attack | Perform up to five consecutive spear strikes. |
Plunged Attack | Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE damage upon impact. |
Charged Attack | Consumes a certain amount of stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way. |
Elemental attack - Whirling Opener
Yun Jin Elemental skill has two different instances and effects depending on whether the ability is pressed or held. With two different levels of DMG based on the charged time.
- Cooldown for both Instances: 9 Seconds

Hold Ability | Takes Up the Whirling Opener Stance and Charges up forming a shield. Absorption is based on Yunjin's MAXHP |
Passive: Whirling Opener | When the skill is unleashed, its duration ends or the shield break, Yunjin will unleashed the stored energy as an attack Dealing Geo DMG. |
Conditions | Based on the time holding the ability, it will either unleash an attack at Charge Level 1 or Charge Level 2 |
Elemental Burst - Cliffbreaker's Banner
Yun Jin deals AoE Geo damage and applies the Flying Cloud Flag Formation effect to all nearby party members, based on Yunjin's Defense.
- Cooldown: 15 seconds
- Energy Cost: 60 Particles

No mere Traditionalist (Lv. 60)
- The Normal Attack DMG Bonus granted by Flying Cloud Flag Formation is increased by 2.5/5/7.5/11.5 percent of Yun Jin's DEFENSE when the party contains characters of 1/2/3/4 different Elemental Types.
Yun Jin Constellations
Yun Jin's Constellations are not Geo niche. Despite Yun Jin C6 being a bit underwhelming, a recent change to C2 will buff the Normal Attack DMG of her teammates.
With this change, Yun Jin's viability as Plug-Play support increased considerably.
