Each season, Fortnite puts on quite the schedule of tournaments for all levels of players. Whether you're elite and looking to score some cash prizes or want to boost your rank with similarly skilled players, there's an option for you.
It also doesn't matter whether you want to compete alone or as a team, Epic ensures that all Fortnite players are catered to. That being said, when can we expect the Season 2 slate of competitions to begin?
Here's everything we know so far about what's to come in Season 2...
Fortnite Season 2: Cash & Hype Cups to return?
There's no doubt that the usual schedule of Fortnite Cash and Hype cups will return soon. It all comes down to timing. With each new season, there is a settling period where not a lot happens as players adjust to the changes.
Due to this, the Cash and Hype cups typically don't show up until around 4-6 weeks into each new season. It could take a little longer in Season 2 due to the building mechanics being removed but for now, we will stick to the above timeline as a best guess.
What remains to be seen is whether or not these competitions will take place with No-Build alternatives or just run with the stand game mechanics in play. While we're all for the new No-Build modes coming to the game as a permanent addition, it would become very confusing to have all these events running at the same time.
We'll keep one eye closely fixated on the 'Compete' tab in the lobby for updates on the new schedule. Until then, be sure you grind away in Arena to earn your way into the Champions League to ensure hassle-free qualification for all of Season 2's Cash Cups.
