If you want to get Cabal Gold quickly in Destiny 2's Season of the Chosen, we have you covered.
Cabal Gold is the newest Seasonal Currency to be added to Destiny 2 and is one of the key resources needed in season-based events.
For example, if you want to wield the new Hammer of Proving, you're going to need some Cabal Gold.
Below, we've got a run-down of everywhere you can get Cabal Gold in Destiny 2.
How To Get Cabal Gold
To put it simply, Cabal Gold is a reward for completing a number of activities during the Season of the Chosen.
Below, we've listed which activities have Cabal Gold as a reward:
- Playlist Strikes, including Nightfall
- Public Events
- Nightmare Hunts
- The Blind Well
What makes it unusual, and somewhat annoying, is that there's only a chance you'll get some when you finish any one of the activities listed.

This means, the rate at which you get is is fairly random and it's hard to predict how long it will take you to get the right amount.
If you fancy yourself a competent Guardian, Crucible games could be the way forward as these are often no more than 10 minutes long each.
However, keeping an eye out for Public Events and tackling a dungeon or two prove equally as effective given the randomised drop rate.
More often than not, a Vanguard Strike will get you around 14 Cabal Gold. Meanwhile, a Mayhem match should get you around 8 Cabal Gold each time.
Cabal Gold Carry Capacity
One thing that's worth noting is the fact that at the start of the Season of the Chosen, you'll only be able to carry 42 Cabal Gold.
This isn't the be-all and end-all though, however it can be a little annoying if you don't spend some for a little while and end up missing out on possible additional earnings.
If you want to expand the Cabal Gold carry capacity, you can do this by inspecting the Hammer of Proving in the H.E.L.M.
Under the Enhancement III tab, you will eventually be able to upgrade your carrying capacity to 84 Cabal Gold.
Much like Enhancement I and Enhancement II, this all required Cabal Gold. However, they're well worth your time.
Cabal Gold isn't the only new thing that's been added to Destiny 2.
The Season of the Chosen has new weekly challenges, with Week 1 live now, new Strikes, new Battlegrounds and more!
