Warzone Pacific Update: How to fix GOLDFLAKE network error message

Caldera is here and the Warzone Pacific update is now out in its entirety - Raven Software has shipped their latest weapon balancing changes and there's a new set of Patch Notes for you to look over here. A new update in Warzone doesn't mean it's fixed though - in fact, it's far from it.

Warzone is as broken as ever; where one bug is fixed another seems to appear. Raven Software has their work cut out for them. If you're seeing the GOLDFLAKE network error message in Warzone or Modern Warfare, we have everything you need to know about a fix.

How to fix the GOLDFLAKE error message?

At the moment, there's really only one way to fix the GOLDFLAKE network error message when it appears in Warzone or Modern Warfare.

All you need to do - or more accurately, all you can do - is restart your console or PC. This should be enough to get rid of the GOLDFLAKE network error message. However, if it persists you should try a 'hard reset' instead. This is essentially a process where you turn off your console or PC, then unplug it from the mains power. Alternatively, holding down the power button should trigger this 'hard reset' process - if getting to the power is a little tricky.

It's also worth noting that you should only see this error message if you've left your console on long enough for it to go into a standby or power-saving mode - something like Rest Mode on the PS5 - and then tried to go back into the game.

It's a network-based error message so there isn't a permanent fix - however, the steps explained above aren't the hardest. You'll just need to follow them every time you encounter the GOLDFLAKE error message in Warzone or Modern Warfare.
