SMGs still dominate the close-range meta and many players are loving the Vel 46, which is the MP7 reimagined and better than ever. Here's how to build it into an unstoppable force in close quarters, and with the right attachments, up to the mid-ranges.

Vel 46 Best Attachments in Warzone 2

The Vel 46 is one of the first guns you'll unlock in Warzone 2, and if you're looking for an easy-to-use SMG you need look no further. Effectively an MP7, one of the most popular guns in the Call of Duty franchise, this weapon will contend with the best at short and mid ranges.

Here's what we recommend in terms of attachments:

The Vel 46 is a great primary to buy from a shop, as long as you can stick to the shadows or close-quarters fights. It's even stronger with a full loadout, however, so here's what we recommend to round out your Warzone 2 class:

Perk Package: Spectre

Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor

Lethal: Throwing Knife

Alternatively, you can run the weapon specialist package for overkill, and we recommend something with a much longer range as a secondary. A sniper like the SP-X 80 works well, or a long-range AR like the Taq 56.

In the meantime, run a heartbeat sensor to keep you safe, both when you're sniping, and to check buildings with the SMG. Then a throwing knife is always a solid option to avoid wasting valuable time and ammo on downed enemies in Warzone 2.
