New Skill Tiers coming to Black Ops Zombies

New information about what you'll need to get in Black Ops Cold War Zombies' Outbreak mode for upgrading the new Skill Tiers has been revealed!

Treyarch is really spoiling us with this Call of Duty, aren't they? Two new Skill Tiers are coming to Black Ops Cold War Zombies in the Season Two content update.

With Skills being a vital part of hitting high rounds, Zombies fans will be pleased to know that there's even more reason to grind out Aetherium Crystals now and go for their High Round Record in Season Two.

Below, we have everything you need to know about what we mean by "New Skill Tiers" in Black Ops Cold War Zombies.

LATEST - New Aetherium Crystals

There are three types of Aetherium Crystals available in Zombies now, and we have a brief overview of what each one will be.

• Raw Aetherium Crystals – Requiem agents know this resource well. These are used to upgrade Skills for Weapon Classes, Field Upgrades, Perks, and Ammo Mods through the first three Tiers of power.
• Refined Aetherium Crystals [NEW] – A more matured crystal structure. A greater energy source used to upgrade Skills to Tier IV.
• Flawless Aetherium Crystals [NEW] – This is the highest maturity an Aetherium Crystal can reach. This incredibly powerful resource is used to upgrade Skills to Tier V.

These crystals won't be easy to do, with the more mature crystals only popping up with "more extensive research" in a single Outbreak infiltration.

The two new Aetherium Crystal types will also appear as rewards in traditional Zombies games, but only during the higher rounds.

What Are Skill Tiers

In Black Ops Cold War Zombies, everything has a Skill Tier and these can be upgraded to bring devastating new buffs to everything in-game.

Skill Tiers can be used to add new effects to in-game Perks, Field Upgrades, and even your Weapon Classes!

In order to upgrade them, you'll need to collect Aetherium Crystals. You might notice you have earned a couple already!

Aetherium Crystals are earned by passing milestone rounds, Exfiltrating successfully when an option, and defeating Mini-Boss Zombies during a game.

Two New Tiers Coming

Yep, you read that right. As if things couldn't get more amazing in Treyarch's latest update to COD Zombies.

There are going to be two new Skills Tiers coming to Black Ops Cold War Season Two on February 25th.

In addition to this, there's going to be two new Aetherium Crystal variants - Refined and Flawless - needed to reach these.
