Modern Warfare 2 Weapon Tuning Enabled

Weapon tuning is a new feature for Modern Warfare 2 that allows players to further personalise their favourite guns. Once you've maxed a weapon, you can tailor your attachments to your personal style.

Due to various bugs that arose when the feature was introduced, Activision disabled the feature not long after launch. Now it's back with the new update.

More updates are sure to follow, but we expect that the feature will be here to stay.

Modern Warfare 2 Bug Fixes

While no patch notes have been released as of yet, we do have a list of the bugs Infinity Ward have addressed in Update 1.08. These should help the game run much more smoothly, and eliminate some exploits:

  • Fix for various camos not unlocking during progression
  • Fix for an exploit in Gunsmith when using mouse and keyboard.
  • Fixed crashing issues.
  • Fixed framerate drop issues.
  • Addressed freezing issues.
  • Added performance improvements.
  • Added fixes for stuttering/lag issues.
  • Other under the hood fixes.

A lot of these bugs affected Modern Warfare 2 on PC, so Steam and Battlenet players should now have a much-improved gameplay experience. Watch this space for any further patch notes in the coming days.
