Summer of Sims roadmap reveals expansion and more

The Sims 4 is getting even bigger soon with a whole new expansion, which has now been revealed. It comes with a new location, new items and a whole lot more.

Latest - Cottage Living Expansion Revealed

Following some teases, the summer 2021 Sims 4 expansion pack has been revealed. It is called Cottage Living and will release on July 22.

It says you will "make friends with animals, live off the land, and enjoy village life," and the trailer shows off vegetable competition and much more.

We're still awaiting full details on it, but you can pre-order Cottage Living now.

Summer of Sims

The announcement centres around the 'Summer of Sims' roadmap, which outlines what will be coming to The Sims 4 over the next few months. Below, we'll run down exactly what's going to be included before getting into more detail.

• Courtyard and chill with a relaxing next kit
• Snag a cool new career with a creative new game pack
• Go big for Pride at the virtual block party
• Rock out at the Sims event of the summer
• 3 waves of base game updates
• Bong with nature in this charming new expansion pack

These pieces of content will be coming to The Sims 4 between May and July, although specific dates are yet to be revealed.

More Details

As you can see from the list and roadmap, the details are pretty vague. While we know we'll be getting a new Game Pack, Kit, and 3 Updates, we don't know exactly what they're going to be.

New Sims 4 Expansion

Finally, this is confirmation that a new Sims 4 expansion pack will be coming sometime soon.

We had speculated that June would be the perfect time, since that's when new expansions release every year.

Aside from having a "nature" side, we don't know anything about it. However, it will come later this summer.
