FUT fans are getting excited for this year's Road to the Final (RTTF) campaign which is set to take over FIFA 23 Ultimate Team soon, but a piece of World Cup content has resurfaced.

The free World Cup History Maker items that were handed out back in December were given their first upgrade around one month ago.

However, in what can only be described as yet another EA error, it seems the company has forgotten to activate the second round of History Maker upgrades...

Upgrades MISSING

The first round of upgrades successfully went live on Friday, 13 January, bumping the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Virgil van Dijk up to 87 OVR.

EA had previously confirmed that the second round of History Maker upgrades would go live on Tuesday, 14 February, but we're still waiting for the cards to be boosted in-game.

Every single History Maker item is entitled to another +1 OVR.

This begs the question - has EA simply forgotten about the World Cup History Maker items?

For the vast majority of FUT players, the History Maker cards won't make it into their starting XI.

However, these cards are some of the rarest in the game ad it's a real shame to see EA disregard them as many FUT players enjoy collecting unique items.

Sit tight

Despite the slip from EA, we expect the mistake to be corrected very soon.

The official FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account will no doubt soon shed some light on the situation.

Despite the upgrade being delayed, it will most likely still become active in the coming days or weeks.

Once the History Maker player ratings are upgraded for a second time, they will look like this:

  • Kylian Mbappe (OVR 88)
  • Virgil van Dijk (OVR 88)
  • Pedri (OVR 87)
  • Joao Felix (OVR 86)
  • Jude Bellingham (OVR 86)
  • Kai Havertz (OVR 86)
  • Federico Valverde (OVR 86)
  • Christian Pulisic (OVR 84)
  • Raul Jimenez (OVR 84)
  • Jordan Ayew (OVR 83)
  • Wataru Endo (OVR 83)
  • Salem Al-Dawsari (OVR 83)
