Player of the Month Thiago Silva Review

A major criticism of previous player SBCs has been how much it has cost to redeem their card – gamers were outraged with Scream Draxler’s price, marking him as terrible value for money!

As you can see, Thiago Silva’s POTM upgrade is far more reasonably priced.

Thiago Silva’s POTM card is an upgrade of three overall points compared to his 87 rated base card. His already brilliant defending stats are now superb, as he possesses 91 defensive awareness and 91 standing tackles.

In addition, his POTM card has improved dribbling and passing stats (85 short & long passing, 83 ball control), meaning he is more capable as a ball playing centre back.

POTM Thiago silva’s only liability is his pace. His sprint speed has been increased from 64 to 68, but he’ll still be caught out by faster attackers.

To counter this, play him alongside an athletic centre half – if you completed the Road to the Final Gomez SBCs, he could make the perfect partner.

The FIFA community agree that Silva’s lack of pace is his one let down, with one gamer replying to a Reddit post on the FIFA sub-Reddit, stating that “he’s about 5 pace away from being absolutely insane”.

Nevertheless, the general consensus amongst FIFA fans is that POTM Thiago Silva is available at a “great price”, with another Reddit user responding “Good value, Brazilian CB + PSG links + a good first owner card to have”.

So there you have it, Thiago Silva’s POTM card offers great value for money – complete his SBC, partner him with a fast centre back and watch wave after wave of opposition attack crash and fall against your back line.
