New Apex Legends character revealed via Outlands short

Guess who's joining the party? A new Apex Legends character, and possible playable Legend, has been revealed in the newest Stories from the Outlands short, Northstar.

Here's everything we know about them and what they mean for Respawn Entertainment's battle royale title ahead of Season 9.

LATEST - New Apex Legends Character

There's been a lot of leaks about Apex Legends Season 9, but they couldn't prepare us for this one.

We all knew that the "Northstar" subtitle for this entry into the Stories of the Outlands series was a reference to the Titanfall Titan of the same name... Now we know why.

The Northstar short plays through a conversation between Kuben Blisk, the founder of the Apex Games, and Kairi, the daughter of a Titan Pilot known as Viper.

As we watch through the short, we learn that her callsign is actually Valkyrie, a fitting name for an Apex Legends character don't you think?

Stories From The Outlands

The Stories from the Outlands series is Respawn Entertainment's way of weaving a narrative into the current Apex Legends discourse alongside their seasonal updates. These often focus on a character's past and how they relate to the world around them, rather than the future of Apex Legends and the Apex Games.

Apex Legends Season 9

The next season of Apex Legends is going to be a big one, either way. The promise of Titanfall content seems to be coming to fruition and there's a lot of new stuff to look forward to with new in-game events, Battle Pass content, and a continually growing arsenal of deadly weapons.

Apex Legends Season 9 is due to start on May 4th, after Season 8 ends. We're still waiting for confirmation about the other details, but we know it'll be worth the wait.
