LATEST - Paramo Is Back On PC Test Servers

Ahead of its full launch on April 8th, PC PUBG players can now get back into killing and winning on Paramo!

PUBG confirmed the news via Twitter and their News Blog. Update 1.11 is live now on PC servers and it's going to be a lot of fun!

" You’ve waited patiently to drop back into the highlands of Paramo and we’re excited to bring you brand new experiences there as well! In its sophomore run, Paramo is now part of the normal map rotation, meaning that all regular queues are available. We’ve also taken this time to tweak some map settings and lean in slightly more to Paramo’s randomized terrain."

Map Changes - Paramo Is Back

Based on public feedback, the smaller 3x3 map Paramo is returning to standard PUBG playlists in Season 11.

Below, we've got the changes that have been made listed for you to check out:

Map Changes

  • The terrain on Paramo still has its random elements, now with one extra randomized location possibility.
  • Increased item spawn rates in the Secret Room and Care Package Helicopter.
  • Improved terrain and added additional cover to fields.

Custom Matches

  • Now available in Custom Matches
  • Added Secret Room Key to spawn option

Haven and Karakin are leaving, though.

" We know that our players have very different tastes when it comes to map size, but the consensus has generally been in favor of the large 8×8 maps. Because of this, Erangel and Miramar will always be available with the remaining maps cycling in and out of the remaining three slots."

Although Karakin will still be available in Custom Game lobbies.

New Feature - Emergency Pickup

This new feature will help make cross-map travelling a lot more fun, for one.

It's essentially a balloon that will take you and your team to the safe zone. Here's how it will work.

" When the Emergency Pickup is deployed, a Fulton Balloon is released from its bag. When the Balloon is fully inflated and high up in the air, an airplane will arrive in 60 seconds. During this time, up to a maximum of 4 players can attach themselves to the Fulton Balloon rope. Once that plane arrives, it catches the Balloon, hoists up the players, and makes its way towards the center of the Safe Zone. "

This item will be lootable in Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikendi. So, only the larger PUBG maps.

You can't shoot while attached to the balloon, but you're not invincible so be careful of incoming flak if you decide to use one.

Season 11 Ranked

This season will mark the first time a Ranked Season will run for two months at a time and that means that the start and end dates no-longer align with the Survivor Passes.

Here's the Patch Report for PUBG Season 11 update 11.1. It should explain this in a little more detail:

The ranked table has therefore been adjusted to accommodate this change from PUBG. Below, we've got everything you need to know about the key changes that are on the way:

Ranked Rewards Changes

  • Ranked Parachute skins are provided from Gold and above (previously Diamond).
  • Vehicle skins are no longer a Ranked reward.
  • Animated emblems are provided for Platinum and above.
  • Master and Top 500 also receive a Nameplate and Emblem.

In addition to this, spawn rates for all weapons in Ranked Mode will be increased to a level similar to the Esports Mode. The item spawns are also increasing to reduce the average time spent looting.

Weapon Balancing

There aren't too many weapon balancing changes coming to PUBG in Season 11. however, the ones that are coming are pretty important so we've got them listed below.

  • Increased horizontal recoil speed from 10 → 11

The minor buffs to the SCAR-L, Mini-14, and VSS should help even up more fights going forwards.

The PUBG ID system is changing a little bit which should make it more accurate and allow for more customisation going forwards.

  • Players can now display up to two medals on their PUBG ID, as an awesome way to show off your own achievements.
  • Upgrading a medal tier will remove the old medal and only display the higher tier medal.

  • PUBG ID will now be shown as a profile pop-up, rather than the previous passport format.

UI Improvements

There are only a few additional UI changes coming to PUBG in Season 11 but they're pretty nifty ones.

  • The kill-feed now uses graphics only, with the text-only option no-longer being supported.
  • DBNO and headshot icons are now separated for improved visibility.
