Far Cry 6: How to Destroy Anti-Aircraft Cannons

Far Cry 6 is finally here and that comes with tonnes of ways to play. Whether you like to sneak through bases or go in all guns blazing, a few things are consistent. The ever-persistent role of Antón Castillo's forces keeps you on your toes and fighting forward. The anti-aircraft cannons can be pretty deadly if you like to fly around the skies. Here's a quick guide on how to destroy them in Far Cry 6.

How to Find Anti-Aircraft Cannons

You will know the presence of anti-aircraft cannons by the big red icon that appears on-screen. You can see it in the screenshot below.

If you can't seem to find these, there are two good ways of finding them. First, you can just fly around until you get shot down.

If you don't like this idea, look for exclamation marks around the map. This will point you in the direction of guerilla fighters or pieces of information. They will show you icons around the map.

Far Cry 6 is a game you should probably take on slowly, so you should take out anti-aircraft cannons as you come across them.

Destroying Anti-Aircraft Cannons in Far Cry 6

They are quite easy to destroy when you know how. You simply have to hit them with explosives and they will go down. If you're feeling particularly tough, you can just drive a tank straight into there and blow it up.

My personal favourite way of taking them down is flying a helicopter high into the sky and jumping out before it explodes. Then you can fire an RPG while in the air without ever having to meet any of the soldiers on the ground.

The cannons cannot be destroyed by simple bullets, so find yourself some explosives before heading out to destroy them.

If you have an explosive supremo too, such as the Exterminador, use can use that to destroy anti-aircraft cannons too, you may just have wait for it to change up.

The more of these cannons you take, the more you will get to know their layout. Make sure to grab the depleted uranium nearby.
