Surprise Inclusion
Premier League clubs have announced their official 25-man squads this week, and there was a surprise call-up at Chelsea!
Frank Lampard has named four goalkeepers in his squad, with the legendary Petr Cech among his options.
New signing Edouard Mendy has been confirmed as the club’s number one, with Kepa and Willy Caballero the backups.
However, Chelsea’s technical and performance adviser Cech has also been included as “emergency cover”.
Will we see Cech on FIFA 21?
Petr Cech is already on the game as an ICON on Ultimate Team.
It seems likely that he would only be added to the latest squads if he were to be selected for a matchday squad this season.
Having only retired last summer, it is not that ridiculous to think he could play a part for the Blues this year.
Career Mode fans may want Cech in the game sooner though, as he is now technically part of Chelsea’s playing squad!
