Future of Cyberpunk Multiplayer
Cyberpunk 2077 failed in many ways to deliver on the things fans expected from it on release. In the face of a frustrated audience, CD Projekt Red have given hope by pointing to future developments for the game and series.
Multiplayer was one of these features fans were asking for from the very beginning. As such, hopes were high that CD Projekt Red could deliver Cyberpunk multiplayer either as a DLC in Cyberpunk 2077, or from the next game in the series.
According to the new Strategy Update, however, a change of course is coming for Cyberpunk instead - and multiplayer is either on the back burner or cancelled entirely.
What's Next for CD Projekt Red?
In the Strategy Update, CD Projekt Red also revealed that there would be development in 2022 for the next Cyberpunk game as well as The Witcher 4.
With Cyberpunk 2077 in the rearview mirror, all eyes will be on the next game that CD Projekt Red create - and whether that's from Cyberpunk or The Witcher, expectations will be high.
