Valorant episode 6 will soon be released and the new map for the episode has also been revealed by Riot Games.
The city of flowers that Astra refers to is the new map which we now know is called Lotus.
There have been numerous leaks, some teasers which feel irrelevant and some pretty great detective work.
And, it has all led down to this release to finally give the fans what they want... answers.
This new map brings some new mechanics and features to the game not yet seen in other maps.

Lotus Valorant Map Release Date
Episode 6 of Valorant will be released alongside the new map which is titled Lotus.
So, Lotus will be playable on January 10 2023.

Lotus Design
The design of Lotus 'wanted to push the boundaries of fantastical and mystical elements' stated Brian Yam, Art Lead of the Lotus map.
And with the beautiful lost city statues and flowers everywhere, the mysticism is definitely shining through.
Brian then went on to discuss some inspiration for the map with...
"Indiana Jones was one of the thematic inspirations we drew from. Visually, we found the rock-cut architecture fascinating because it evokes a mystical and ancient vibe to the theme."
Some design choices such as the radianite relics also propose some usefulness rather than just pure beauty.
As "one of these relics suggested that the ancient inhabitants used them as a power source for rotating stone doors on the map", the new mechanic has been explained.
Lotus Map Mechanics
There are also a few new mechanics coming inside the Lotus map which are brand-new to Valorant.
