As the 2022/23 season approaches and pre-season friendlies get underway, Southampton has unveiled the club's new home kit for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
The home kit was revealed shortly after Southampton launched its unique away strip inspired by the docks with its aqua and gold colour scheme which, we feel, makes it one of the best Premier League kits we've seen so far.
While the away kit features a bold new design, the home strip goes down the more traditional route by incorporating the classic red and white colour scheme synonymous with Southampton Football Club.

Southampton 2022/23 Home Kit Release Date
According to the club, Southampton's new home kit is out now, having been released on 27 July 2022 in men's, women's, and kids' sizes.
The full strip, as well as just the shirt, are available now available at the Southampton store.
Southampton 2022/23 Home Kit Design
Southampton's new home strip is said to be inspired by the free-flowing, creative Saints side of the early '80s.
Therefore, the kit draws inspiration from some of the best football kits from the past by featuring a design reminiscent of the shirts worn by club legends like Kevin Keegan in the '80s before the club moved to stripes in the early '90s.
However, the colours have been reversed for the 2022/23 season, with the shirt arriving mostly in white.
You then get a bold red stripe with a black trim right down the centre of the shirt to enclose the centralised badge, branding, and sponsor.
To contrast the shirt, Hummel has opted for a pair of black and red shorts to accompany the jersey; however, the socks then return to the aforementioned white and red colour scheme to complete the club's new home kit.
