PlayStation has been on fire recently with their free game announcements, March 2020 saw FF7 Remake come to PS Plus and this month will see Oddworld: Soulstorm launch on the service too.

But let's not forget about PS Now, Sony's game streaming service which gives players access to hundreds of free games, much like Xbox's Game Pass.

Here's everything we know about PS Now in April 2021 and what's on offer.

UPCOMING: Three new games are coming to PS Now this month

Marvel's The Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers is an epic, third-person, action-adventure game that combines an original, cinematic story with single-player and co-operative gameplay. In a future with Super Heroes outlawed, a young Kamala Khan must reassemble the Avengers to stop AIM. Marvel’s Avengers continues the epic journey with new Heroes and new narrative delivered on an ongoing basis, for the definitive Avengers gaming experience. Assemble into a team of up to four players online, master extraordinary abilities, customize a growing roster of Heroes, and defend the Earth from escalating threats.

Marvel’s Avengers is available until Monday July 5, 2021.

Borderlands 3

The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and a mayhem-fueled adventure! Blast through new worlds and enemies as one of four new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Play solo or with friends to take on insane enemies, score loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy. Play with anyone at any time online or in split-screen co-op, regardless of your level or mission progress.

Borderlands 3 is available until Wednesday September 29, 2021.

The Long Dark

The Long Dark is a thoughtful, exploration-survival experience that challenges solo players to think for themselves as they explore an expansive frozen wilderness in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster. There are no zombies — only you, the cold, and all the threats Mother Nature can muster.

New Free Trial

Sony has announced that all current non-PS Now subscribers will be able to receive a free 7 days trial for the service, even if you've already used a previous free trial.

This will begin on April 7th, giving players access to hundreds of PS2, PS3, and PS4 games.

The Next Games To Leave PS Now

Thankfully, there's actually only one major title leaving PS Now in April 2021. Call of Duty: Black Ops III is leaving PS Now on April 29th.

Multiplayer and Campaign aside, this game offers a fantastic selection of Zombies content from earlier titles thanks to the Zombies Chronicles expansion that is on offer. If you like the earlier maps, it might be worth playing this while you have the chance!

If we look back at last month, PlayStation revealed the titles that were being added to PS Now in March on March 1st, 2021.

With this in mind, we could be waiting until April 1st, 2021, before we get any news about what's in store for PS Now subscribers in April 2021.

SOULSTORM - This is the first confirmed PS Plus game for April 2021

That being said, that'll only be a day after when we believe we're getting the April 2021 PS Plus announcements.

It won't feel like a long time, but it really is. Maybe that's the February effect.

After the announcement, the PS Now April 2021 games should be all playable by April 2nd, 2021. PlayStation aren't opposed to delaying things though, so take this with a grain of salt.

March's Titles Were Pretty Great

Last month, we got a fairly decent set of games added to PS Now. It wasn't anything to write home about but it was pretty consistent and when you consider everything else already available, seemed to justify the price tag.

They're all a little old, but that doesn't mean they're bad games by any account and they certainly give PS Now subscribers something to do in the wait for April 2021's announcement.
