Dying Light 2: How to Fast Travel

Dying Light 2 has everything you'd expect from an open world game. There are secrets to find, side-quests galore, and of course, fast travel points. Fast travelling isn't as simple as you may be used to, however. If you're a little confused, here's a guide on how to fast travel in Dying Light 2.

Before we start, it's worth noting that you cannot fast travel right from the start of Dying Light 2. While you're in Old Villedor, the first main area in the game, you won't be able to fast travel at all.

How to Fast Travel in Dying Light 2

You unlock fast travel once you've gone through the GRE tunnel to the main city, after a few hours of quests.

Folllowing some cutscenes, which we won't reveal now, you'll make it to the main Villedor city and will meet Lawan. You'll complete a mission called Let's Waltz and begin talking to the sniper.

She'll talk to you for a while and you'll unlock the ability to fast travel. Now for the more complicated part.

How to Unlock Fast Travel Points

You fast travel between metro stations in Dying Light 2, but you need to unlock each of them individually first. Head to the places marked on the map and go inside.

Once inside, you'll need to turn the electricity back on to make it safe and dispel the undead. That will then unlock the metro station for you to use as a fast travel point.

You'll see on the map that there is now fast forward icon next to the metro station. With it highlighted on your map, you can hold square if you're on PlayStation (X on Xbox) to fast travel to the location.

Since they're not that easy to unlock, don't be surprised if you don't have many to use throughout the game. Also, be aware that you cannot fast travel while inside buildings as part of missions. When out in the open, though, you should be free to fast travel whenever you like.

How to Complete Tickets, Please! Trophy & Achievement

You'll also notice that there is a trophy/achievement called Tickets, Please!, which asks you to "Use a Metro Station to fast travel."

However, fast travelling using the metro stations in the way we've noted above won't unlock it. Instead, you need to head inside on foot and look for a metro map like the one in the map down below.

Once you find it, hold square to use it and the normal map will open. You can then fast travel in the normal way, with the trophy unlocking immediately after.
