Explore Unfamiliar Territory
With the upcoming 1.7 patch, the region of Inazuma will be coming to Genshin Impact. An actual date hasn’t been reported yet but all signs point to July 16th. Meanwhile, an announcement of a new banner and a new hero, Kazuka is already out, the first of three characters that will be joining the game’s roster next month.
The region of Inazuma is an island nation where the electro element thrives. As of late, not ready to be explored but through data mine and leaks, it's started to show its colors and peculiarities leading players to believe that it might bring the biggest update in the game in terms of exploration.
Inspired by the real Japan, according to most recent rumors, Inazuma’s first contact would be through their inhabitants. For now, we know of three new playable characters.
Meet New Heroes
Kaedehara Kazuha, a 5 stars anemo sword user, with abilities that seem to absorb other elements to bring powerful combos. Her banner (soon to be released) looks very interesting with the inclusion of Razor, Bennet, and Rosaria.
Today, miHoYo presented a demo of their abilities and more of their story.
Expected right after the release of the patch 1.7, Ayaka, the princess of House Kamisato is a 5 star cryo sword user was released as a playable character in the first closed beta will finally will join the game.
Details of the banner content are soon to be updated during a livestream on July 9th. This cryo would bring an alternative sprint, replacing the normal sprint with additional effects just like Mona.
Alternative sprint: Ayaka consumes stamina and cloaks herself in frozen fog that moves with her. We also have details about the ultimate ability. Her ultimate: a storm of whirling icy winds that slashes repeatedly at opponents it touches, dealing cryo damage.
The third character from Inazuma is Yoimiya, the first 5 star pyro archer. We do not have much details of her abilities and released however the rumors speculate she will be joining by the first two weeks of August.
You can find in the video below base animations and constellation preview.
Face Advanced Enemies
Another big change coming with Inazuma region is a whole new level of enemies, with bigger HP and the ability to teleport, that will lead that character miss special attacks, reduce the capability to burst damage having a big impact with physical damage heroes, with fights lasting longer and a possible change in the meta.
We can’t wait for the new outfits to come. There are no leaks yet for the new patch but we are certain that we will see some soon.
